Izmir public transport fares

Current fares, transfers and holidays.

A full fare in Izmir is 35 TL with İzmirim Kart.

These fares have applied since 1 April 2026. They can change a few times a year, and we update this page when a new tariff comes out.

On buses, the metro, trams and İZDENİZ ferries, further rides within 90 minutes of the first are free. İZBAN is separate: 40 TL for the first 20 km, then a charge per km, and no transfers.

Every day from 05:00 to 07:00 and 19:00 to 20:00 you pay half fare.

On public holidays

During Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, ESHOT buses, the metro, trams and İZDENİZ ferries are 50% off; the council votes on it for each holiday. Municipal transport is also half price on 30 August. İZBAN is only free when a presidential decision covers it. On holiday days the metro and the Konak tram run to the Sunday timetable.
