What we collect
When you search for a route, the two station names may be counted so we can see which routes people look for. No IP address, device details or anything else that identifies you is attached; we only keep totals such as "Yenikapı - Taksim, 12 searches".
Routes you keep with the "Save" button and your cookie choice are stored in your own browser (localStorage) and never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes them.
If you email us, we only use your address and message to reply and to sort out the problem you reported, and we don't keep them once the matter is closed.
Visit statistics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how often pages are read. It doesn't set cookies or follow you across sites; it only gives us totals such as page views.
Ads and cookies
The site shows Google AdSense ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
You can turn off personalised advertising in Google Ad Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendors' cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info. How Google uses data from partner sites: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
If you choose "Decline" on the site's cookie banner, Google isn't given permission for personalised ads; ads are still shown but picked based on the page you're reading. More detail is on the cookie policy page.
Maps and line status
Maps on route, station and line pages use map tiles from OpenFreeMap, and the map library (MapLibre) is loaded from jsDelivr. When a map appears, your browser connects to these services and your IP address reaches their servers. Line status notices come from Metro İstanbul's open data through our own server; nothing about you is sent with that request.
Server logs
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages and served through Cloudflare. These services keep technical logs, such as IP addresses and browser details, for security and troubleshooting under their own policies.
Children
The site isn't aimed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Your rights
Under Article 11 of KVKK you can ask whether we process data about you, ask what it is, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted if it's wrong. Send requests to [email protected]; we reply within 30 days at the latest.
Changes
When we change this policy, the date at the bottom of the page is updated. If a change is significant, we also say so at the top of the page.
